At Tyni Tech, we review products with the “C.U.P.” system. CUP stands for “Capability”, “Usability”, and “Portability”. More specifically:
C- Capability
What can it do?
U- Usability
How easy can you do it?
P- Portability
How small is it?
This is compared to the item’s closest standard sized counterpart. A small phone compared to a base level Android/iPhone, a small guitar compared to a Les Paul or Stratocaster, etc. Each category is rated between 0-4.
4- Perfect
3- Sacrifices a little
2- Sacrifices a lot
1- Sacrifices too much
0- Completely fails
We average the scores and then it gets one last push from us: “The last drop”. If we just personally like something, this may boost it up and may push it down if we don’t.
A full cup is an item that is as capable and easy to use as a full sized version, while being as small as possible. An empty cup is unacceptably downgraded, unusable, and not much smaller anyways.
